How Much do Folding Bar Stools cost in Canada?

With spandex covered cruiser tables becoming more popular at events, our rental companies have been looking for seating which compliments the tables. Regular bar stools can be a pain in the butt if they don't stack and can take up a lot of space in both trucks and warehouses. Folding bar stools are an attractive solution to this problem. A light weight folding chair makes load-ins and unloads easy and because they fold down, they occupy less space in both trucks and warehouses. With our spandex linens and cruiser tables growing in popularity month after month, we're often asked "How much do folding bar stools cost in Canada?" Read on for an answer!

Cost of Folding Bar Stools

A folding bar stool can range in price from $27.99 to $85.00. This range is quite large, and reflects the different materials that can be used in the folding bar stool. For simpler chairs, with a strong steel frame and a simple back and seat, you're looking at the low end of the range. If you start adding leather padding, or upholstery, you're looking at a pricier chair. Often suppliers of event chairs provide volume discounts that discount the price per chair as the quantity of chairs purchased increases.

Hopefully this post allows you to budget the approximate amount you’re looking to spend on folding bar stools.

Problems with White Resin Folding Chairs

White Resin Folding Chairs

White resin folding chairs have been by far one of our bestselling chairs over 2014 with no signs of stopping in the year ahead. The best kind of purchase though is knowing exactly what you’re getting with the product – and that includes the problems that may arise. It makes sense to know what problems may arise in a product so you’re able to determine what you’re willing to live with and what you’re not. Here are the problems with white resin folding chairs and solutions:

1. Screw hole caps can be lost

White resin folding chairs have screw caps that hide the screw holes. Sometimes these screw caps after high turnover, can become loose and tend to fall out either at the event venue or in transit to or from your storage location. Solution: New replacement screw caps can be purchased in lots of 100. We have heard of rental companies putting a little glue in the hole before putting the new screw cap on as well – to ensure it doesn’t get lost.

2. Scuff marks can occur

With white furniture in general, you’re going to get maintenance issues that require solving on an ongoing basis. Add to that, you’re a rental company or event venue who turnover a large amount of events a year and you have the potential for a lot of scuff marks to occur. This generally happens when guests put their feet on the legs, accidently brush the seat in front of them as they cross their legs etc. Solution: Magic Eraser has been shown to remove most if not all scuff marks.

3. Yellowing can occur after years of extensive outdoor use

We were under the impression that our white resin folding chairs wouldn’t yellow due to UV exposure and had that on our website. Our factory repeatedly assured us of this. And we didn’t have any complaints (that we knew of) in the 9 years the current owners have owned the business. But it turns out we were wrong. Last year we received some great feedback from a party rental company out in Western Canada who let us know that the chairs he had purchased in 2006 had begun to yellow. He was in the market for new chairs anyways as 8+ years of high rental turnover can make a white resin folding chair look a little worse for wear. It was great receiving this feedback so that we can set expectations for other customer’s or potential customers about our product while working with our factory to better the product. Solution: Keep white resin folding chairs in indoor, heated storage only free of elements to lengthen product colour and be prepared for the possibility of having to do a chair replacement after 8 years.

4. Deep scratches in resin can occur

Because resin is a highly durable product, it does hold up extremely well to nicks and scratches. That being said it is not perfect and can become susceptible to deeper scratches due to the high turnover of the product. Due to the nature of resin, it can’t be easily fixed once a scratch can occur (which is why some party rental companies prefer wooden folding chairs over resin folding chairs). Solution: Always use the proper chair dollies to transport, ensure all chairs and dollies are locked down from movement when in transit and train employees to handle the chairs with care. Alternative solution is to purchase new chairs when existing chairs are becoming well worn.

Problems with Plastic Folding Chairs

Problems with Plastic Folding ChairsChances are that if you've ever considered purchasing plastic folding chairs, you've also considered the problems you may eventually face with the chairs. To avoid prospects and customers having to search for all the problems that may exist, we've compiled them all into a post to optimize your time and energy.

Folding Chair Feet can Fall Off

While folding chair feet don't normally just fall right off, they can be pulled off unintentionally. This generally happens if the plastic folding chairs are being set up on soft grass or ground. When a guest sits down on the chair, the feet sink into the ground. Then when the event is being torn down, if a staff member isn't paying attention, the feet can stay in the ground while the rest of the chair is folded and stacked. Replacement chair feet are available in the market should this occur. They are normally $0.25 each and come in black, white, tan, and grey in colours. Alternatively it's just a matter of training your customers or staff to ensure all chair feet are on the chairs.

Folding Chair Backs or Seats can Break

If the folding chair is made with recycled plastic, this form of plastic is often too brittle to be able to properly flex. We learned of a test to be able to tell whether a plastic folding chair is susceptible to damage. You can read more about how to tell the difference between recycled plastic folding chairs and regular plastic folding chairs here.

Plastic Folding Chairs Frames & Rivets can Rust

Plastic folding chair legs are powder coated to avoid rusting from occurring on a regular basis. If a chair starts to show signs of wear and tear such as scratches through the powder coating or is being left outside on a consistent basis rusting can occur. In order to avoid rusting from occurring make sure you’re properly storing your folding chairs in a dry location and either re-powder coating or replacing your chairs to avoid rust.

Rivets can be poor quality

Rivets, the metal pin that allows the chairs to fold, are generally of high quality. However, as suppliers continue to push manufacturers to decrease their costs, the trade-off is a lower quality folding chair. Metal rivets become thinner, chair legs have a thinner metal gauge, and plastic becomes recycled. Try testing out a sample chair the way we do – stacking lots of salt bags on it to see at what point it breaks. This helps you determine whether the rivets are strong enough for your organization's needs.

It's not mere coincidence that we have legitimate solutions to the problems associated with plastic folding chairs. At National Event Supply we constantly pore over our products to eliminate any potential problems and make life easier for everyone.

Dark Fruitwood Folding Chair in Tent

Dark fruitwood folding chairs have become quite a popular event chair in the past year. Also known as walnut folding chairs, dark fruitwood folding chairs have the traditional design of a white resin folding chair but in wood. They feature a similar padded seat that is replaceable and compliment a wood harvest table at a rustic event. Because white resin folding chairs are one of our top selling chairs we often get asked how much dark fruitwood folding chairs cost in Canada. We've answered this important question below.

Cost of Dark Fruitwood Folding Chairs

A dark fruitwood folding chair range in price from $29.95 to $32.95. This average is a fairly small range compared to some of the other cost / pricing blog posts we've written about. The range in this case is due more to the volume discounts associated with the product being purchased than the quality or brand of the chairs. Often suppliers of event chairs provide volume discounts that discount the price per chair as the quantity of chairs purchased increases.

Hopefully this post allows you to budget the approximate amount you’re looking to spend on dark fruitwood folding chairs.

How much do dark fruitwood Chiavari chairs cost in Canada?

Dark Fruitwood Chiavari Chair

Dark Fruitwood Chiavari Chairs are one of the darker types of wood Chiavari chairs that work beautifully with crisp white linens and can pair nicely in décor settings that need a richer true brown instead of mahogany colour. If your event venue or party rental company is in the market for new dark fruitwood Chiavari chairs, one of the first questions that probably comes to mind is “how much do dark fruitwood Chiavari chairs cost in Canada?” This article will attempt to answer this important question so venues and event rental companies can properly budget for their purchases.

The short answer for a dark fruitwood Chiavari chair’s cost is: it depends.

But we’re not just going to leave you hanging. The range in cost for a dark fruitwood Chiavari chair in Canada is $36.95 – $96.47. The range varies so dramatically in cost because there are a number of U.S. companies selling into Canada that appear to have baked the duties into the cost. These same companies also feature the very highest cost in the price range for less than 24 chairs in an attempt to prohibit consumer purchases or purchases of a lower quantity.

Because Chiavari chairs, regardless of whether it is a wood Chiavari chair or resin Chiavari chair is shipped on skids, the cost of shipping tends to be more than a normal consumer shipping purchase – for say a pair of shoes or clothing. To give an estimate for how much additional shipping cost you should budget for your chairs, shipping for 100 chairs would cost about 15-25% of the order, assuming it is going to a major centre

If you'd like to know more about dark fruitwood Chiavari chairs or any other type of Chiavari chair for that matter, we're ready to help get you informed to make the very best event equipment selection for your particular needs.
