Shipping & Returns

If you are based in the United States, please either complete the online checkout process for a custom shipping quote (no payment applies) or request a custom quote here. All tabletop items and event linens are sold in Canadian dollars with potential duties / brokerage applying.

We are pleased to ship on your behalf with third-party freight and courier companies. We aim to fully understand your requirements and choose the company that can best meet your needs. Shipping costs are determined by volume, weight, location and any additional services required. Our shipping policies are as follows:

Skid Shipping

Because we deal with commercial freight trucking companies, delivery happens anytime between 9-5PM Monday to Friday. Our skid shipping charges only include the driver taking the skids off the truck at a business or residential location. The trucks do their best to either deliver to a truck-level dock / floor-level dock or as close to the requested delivery location as they can safely deliver. Because of this, please make sure that if you have a skid shipment, you have the required number of people available to move your products from the delivery location into your facility and have communicated the level of service contracted to your shipping receiver.

We do our best to make sure your delivery goes as smoothly as possible by sending you the name of the trucking company and tracking information. It is the nature of the trucking industry for drivers to offer additional services to customers without communicating to the customer the additional costs involved. Because of this, please note that shipping charges we quote do not include the breaking down of a skid and moving the product inside your business location or residence. Unless requested in advance the shipping charges also do not include:

  • Re-delivery (as a result of not being present to accept the shipment)
  • A phone call ahead
  • A specific date/time appointment and also,
  • Does not include a trucker being given any plastic wrapping or boxes associated with the shipment (e.g. removal of the skid).

If, at the time of delivery, you request the truck driver (or the truck driver offers) to break down the skid(s), move the product into your facility or your receiver gives the driver the plastic wrapping, boxes, or skids without our knowledge or pre-arrangement, you will be passed along all charges we incur from the shipping company as a result. If you are not present to accept the shipment and a re-delivery occurs, you will be responsible for the re-delivery charge as well. Generally, 15 minutes of time to deliver your shipment is allotted / included in the shipping charges quoted. If your delivery location has multiple companies using one dock, or the receiver isn’t ready to receive, additional wait time will be charged by the trucking company and passed on to you. 

Skid Shipping Extra Charges   

  • Residential deliveries are an additional $40.00 minimum.
  • Tailgate deliveries (when a truck uses a lift gate to lower a skid to the ground from the truck-level) are an additional $40.00 minimum.
  • Inside deliveries may be available but additional charges will occur, please call for a custom quote.
  • Deliveries which need an appointment or call ahead before delivery cost an additional - $40.00 to $100 depending on the carrier.

Small Package Extra Charges

  • Residential deliveries cost an additional $8.00 + redelivery for more than 2 attempts
  • After the 1st delivery attempt, a notice will be left alerting you that they tried and failed to deliver a package.
    • If you are OK with the delivery happening without you present, you can sign the delivery attempt notice – signifying to the carrier they can leave the shipment without signature
  • The carrier will try to deliver a 2nd time. If the 1st delivery attempt notice isn’t signed and left for the driver, you will be charged for a 3rd delivery.

Shipping Policy

1.  All orders received with proper payment options will be shipped within 1-2 business days if the item is in stock - though we try our best to ship same day / next day at the latest. If the item selected or quantity is not in stock, we will arrange the cancellation at no extra charge. If the product has already been shipped and you cancel the order after the shipment has left the warehouse, you will still be responsible for the shipping charges as well as the return shipping. 

2.  For Urgent Orders, please call or email us to find out if we can meet your required timeline.

3.  Anticipated shipping costs will be displayed during checkout.  We reserve the right to increase or decrease your shipping cost as required.  Should an increase be required we will contact you prior to processing your order.  Our website shipping costs are calculated using a static freight calculator that has been set up using rates from our small package and common carrier partners.  While great care has been taken when setting up these rates some errors may occur.  If you feel your freight rate seems questionable or unreasonably high or low please email us for a freight quote.

4.  We reserve the right to charge you for any additional charges you request from the shipping carrier.  Extra charges include but are not limited to tailgate delivery, private residence (residential) delivery, delivery appointments, a phone call ahead, removing of any shipping packaging or skids and delivery to inside your location.  If required these additional charges will generally be provided to you prior to processing your order.  If you select the correct shipping option for your delivery location, some of these extra charges will be included in the provided shipping rate. If we receive the third-party carrier's invoice and determine you have requested additional services not originally arranged, you will be charged for all additional charges.

5.  We reserve the right to choose the carrier for the delivery of your order. Different carriers charge different amounts for different services. This is why it is important for us to know your delivery requirements so we can find the least expensive option. We check more than one carrier for every order to ensure we are providing our customers with the lowest shipping rates possible while still ensuring we are shipping your product so no damage occurs in shipment.

6.  While we have negotiated rates with all of our carriers to provide you with the best rate possible, you may have your own negotiated rates with a specific carrier.  Should this be the case we can ship with your carrier of choice.  You are responsible for making all pickup arrangements with your carrier and shipments with your carrier will be sent freight collect. Our customer service representatives will provide you with the shipping dimensions and weight.  If you have an account number, quote number, or other relevant information for this carrier, please provide it prior to making pick up arrangements. We also require you to send us your Bill of Lading (BOL) prior to calling for pickup so we know who to release the shipment to. Shipments will not be released unless we have your BOL.

7.  We are not able to ship to Post Office boxes.  If you are in a rural area and the delivery location does not have a postal code and or street address, please contact us with details for the delivery.

8.  Generally, the shipment will leave the warehouse location that is closest to you, however, availability of products varies which means the order may ship from a different warehouse. You will be made aware of the approximate shipment timeframe so you have an estimate of when to expect your shipment. When available, tracking numbers will be provided to you as well.


Returns Policy

Returns Policy 30 Days - Items Purchased Online and In Store

For your convenience, items purchased in store or online at can be returned to our location within 30 days of purchase.

Bring the item(s) with a copy of your shipping confirmation email to National Event Supply in Mississauga.  Any purchase made by credit card will be refunded to the original credit card.  Any purchase made by cash will be refunded in cash (some restrictions apply); any purchase made by debit card will be refunded to the original debit card.  Merchandise must be returned in unused, unassembled (if applicable), new condition, in original undamaged packaging. Please see Return Policy Exceptions (below) for further details.

Online returns can also be made by contacting our Customer Support within 30 days of purchase only.  Please note that you are responsible for all shipping costs involved in returning any product to National Event Supply.  We will provide you with a return authorization number (RA#) prior to accepting the return at our warehouse.  You can arrange your own carrier or we can arrange for your item to be picked up and returned at your cost. Returns must arrive undamaged in new condition in order for refunds to be processed. 

Returns Policy 90 Days - Items Purchased Online and In Store

All of the above restrictions and requirements apply.  A 20% restocking fee will apply on all returns made after 30 days up to a maximum of 90 days (from date of invoice).  Additionally all refunds made, no matter the original purchasing method will be refunded for store credit only.

Our shipping partners (Couriers and LTL Trucking companies) all have very good on-time deliveries for across Canada and the US and regularly achieve 95% to 98% on-time deliveries. That said, it is important to note that there are still 2% to 5% of all deliveries that are delivered late. Please allow enough time to ensure your shipment arrives in time for your wedding, special function or event.
